This episode is a continuation of a series on dimmer switches. Earlier episodes convered the features and functions of dimmer switches and the installation of a single-pole dimmer switch (a single switch controlling one or more light fixtures) while this episode provides step-by-step installation of a 3-way dimmer switch (one or more light fixtures controlled by two switches).

Installing a dimmer switch is a great do-it-yourself project. Even if you are installing a 3-way dimmer, you might want to first learn about their features and functions. Click here to view the earlier episode. Otherwise learn the key to successful 3-way dimmer switch installation by watching this episode (15 minutes).

The tools needed for do it yourself installation of a dimmer switch are: Screw drivers, long nose pliers, voltage tester or voltmeter, and wire stripper.
