How can DIY Adviser help me on my project? We can give you advice by email or over the phone. We may create checklists and written guides specific to your project and may also create a video showing you tips and techniques. Our hope is that others will add their comments to what we provide to help you even more.

Do you charge anything for your services? No. Our servics are completely free.

How fast of a response can I expect? We intend to give timely and detailed advice. Our goal is to contact you right away to acknowledge your request and clarify any questions we have about your project. If we need to research the topic or create written materials it may take some time. But we will estimate our response time in our initial contact.

What do you expect from me in return for your help? We may chronicle your project as an "episode" on our website. Using whatever name you provide, we will describe your project, the help we provided, and the results. If we developed materials such as written guides, videos, or still photos we may use them. At your discretion, you can provide us with photos of your project, video footage, and quotes that we can use in the episode. So, you can remain totally anonymous, or become a star in one of our episodes. It is totally up to you.

What is an episode? An episode is what we are calling an entry on our website that chronicles a do-it-yourself project. It may be as simple as a single paragraph of text, or include photos, downloads of guides, and videos.

Can I remain anonymous? Absolutely. Just provide us with a made-up name. We will use whatever name you provide us.

Will you distribute my phone number or email address? No. We only use your contact information to contact you with advice and guidance. We will not publish, or distribute your phone number or email address.

I am already a handyman. What can you do for me? We invite you to frequent our website. Our hope is that you would be willing to share your knowledge by adding your comments to the advice and guidance we give our visitors. Also, we might be able to create an episode about one of your already completed or in-progress projects which would provide you some exposure.
